Messing around in Lightroom

I HATE photo editing. I hate it. However, sometimes it is an necessary evil.

This photo is just a jpeg. I didn't take it as RAW but Lightroom was still able to make it look a bit better.

This is the edited version. I was able to lighten her face a little bit and darken the bright curtain in the background. Your eye will always go to the lightest spot of a photo first, so I didn't want you looking at the curtain and just her shoulder.

Here is the original. See how dark and red her face is? I also removed the hairs in front of her forehead. I removed the little pull in the fabric of her comforter and increased the color of it a little bit.
