Sew Sweet and BLOG HOP

Good morning everyone!! This week at Bitten By the Bug 2, I asked the designers to use the sewing machine from the Heritage cart. I love that cart...there are so many cool images on there.

This is what I came up with this week. The papers and stickers are Cosmo Cricket Material Girl.

Now, for the fun part! This is what I'm giving away this week. It's a 10 piece set of MME papers and die cuts. Please a comment and a way for me to reach you if you're the lucky winner. I'll pick a winner around the end of the week.

After leaving a comment here, be sure to visit Susan next for another chance to win more blog candy.

Vintage Christmas Deer

Isn't this little guy sweet? It's an image from Peggy Loves Vintage's latest release...Vintage Christmas CD Volume 13.

I printed him twice, cut out the deer and put him back on with 3-d glue dots. I added lots of glitter, bling and some glaze pens.

I thought her unicorn was going to be blue

so I gave her the light blue marker. I wanted to teach the kids about shading and was explaining that we would put the light blue on top and then darker on the bottom and blend the two together. Somewhere along the way, Kat misunderstood me because that unicorn turned brown.

I tried again on the mane but I guess it's hard to explain blending to a little kid.

Here's mine. I should have a chosen a different color than blue as I only had two shades. Now I have to buy more blue. ;)

Here's Trent's. He just didn't care at all about shading and only wanted to color it in.

Aren't these stamps cute? They're new Bam Pop!

Making the Grade

A layout I made with paper I found at Michael's and some embellishments from Crate and Fancy Pants. Postage stamps are from Manto Fev.

A couple of you have asked about the drips on my candle card. I used Glossy Accents from Ranger. The candle was cut on the Cricut with all those drips. All I did was cover the cut with the Glossy Accents. Let it dry overnight.

Thanks again for all your kind comments!

Vultures

I saw three of these guys fighting over a dead rabbit.

I was on my way out to run some errands when I saw them. I turned around to go home and get the camera. I was so happy to see they were still there when I got back. I stopped the car a ways down the road and just waited.

They fought a little more with each other. Did you know they hiss?

They didn't like me sitting there and eventually, two of them flew away. It's just amazing to see them fly. You don't think something THAT large could actually get off the ground.

I gave up and pulled up slowly and took this picture of the last one. I was really, really hoping to get a picture of the three of them together.

From now on, my camera comes with me everywhere.

Quick and Easy

This week at BBTB2, Sandi asked us to use the Candle cut from October 31.

This is a little 4x4 card and it was so quick and easy. The stamps are new Technique Tuesday Bewitched. I covered the candle in Glossy Accents so it looks like it's really dripping.

Check out the rest of the projects here.

Reindeer

This cute little reindeer was made by outlining Kat's hand and foot. How could I not keep it and scrap it? Pretend there is a red border on the bottom.

Day of the Dead cards

The Rock Princess cart has some really cool cuts on it. I love the skulls! These are welded skulls to make a shaped card.

When I finished the card, I thought it looked a bit like John Waters.

However, now that I look at John Waters, I'm thinking maybe my skeleton reminds me more of Salvador Dali...

Trent says that this skull reminds him of the lunch lady at school. I guess the head piece reminds him of a hair net.

This one wouldn't stand up. I'm not the best welder after all.

Happy Haunting

I absolutely love the new Happy Hauntings cart.

Trent is going to give this to one of his friends at school.

Look for more projects soon using Rock Princess. I LOVE that cart, too!! There are skulls on there that remind me of Day of the Dead.

Vintage Kitten Purse

This week at BBTB2, Regina asked us to use the Crayon box cut from TBBM. All I could think to do was a purse for Katrina. I made it to match the hair barrette I made a couple weeks ago. The image is from Peggy Loves Vintage. I enlarged the image in PSE.

She won't be able to keep too much in it. Maybe some lip gloss, a picture of Sookie , Teddy and maybe Justin Bieber.

Trent and Kat

Do you see it?

Trent showed me this last night. He swears he didn't set it up. Besides, if he really did set it up he would have spelled something like, "Trent is cool" not his name with his sister's.

I just don't know.....

Boo! and other cool stamps

This is another card for my class. Aren't those little guys cute? They're from Recollections (at Michael's).I don't stray from Technique Tuesday too often, but I really liked these guys and they were on sale.

These have my name all over them, too. Be still my heart:

Santa BabyDweeze

I have a basket full of these. I just love them!! They appeal to my retired Gothic Princess (haha) soul and I just have a feeling that they're not "Mother Approved".

Lucky Donna gets to play with these. Check out her latest creation with Oh My Dear.

and some more Technique Tuesday

This set is called Va Va Va Bloom. The only thing stamped with ink are the Vintage Lace Borders, the Addison title , and the couple of hearts from Love, Ali set. All of the flowers, stems and leaves are stamped with Glimmer Mist. I simply sprayed the color on my Ranger non-stick mat, dipped the stamps in the color and stamped away. The detail of the flowers is really much better in real life, but since I have glitter all over them, it's hard to see because of the glare. All the twill (from Technique Tuesday) is misted, too.

All the tags are from my Cricut - Tags, Bags, Boxes and more. I can't believe they retired that cart.

Sookie is my daughter's kitten. We've been watching her for a couple of weeks as she took a break from being a scratching post. She's going to have a tough time getting little Sookie Cookie back.

I was feeling a little ummmm, experimental with this one. I still like it and it's always fun to step out of the box every once in awhile. ;)

Some new Technique Tuesday

Eileen sent me some stamps from their new release. I LOVE these!!

After I stamped the frame, I covered it in Distress Stickles to make it look like sand.

This one is using several new sets - The Weather Report, Message in a Banner, and FUNdamentals Superstars.

After I cut out the banner, I poked holes in the corners and used Scrappers Floss to "tie" them on. More examples are on their way.

Proud

A quick one I did of Trent about his American flag obsession. The picture is already 2.5 years old. It seems like I just took it yesterday. :(
