Can it really be the 15th already?
The theme at Peek was Scrapper's Choice. I always call it "Monkey's Choice" but Pat insists it's "Scrapper's Choice".
Whatever.
;)
This is the name of the mall we go to each year to take our Christmas pictures. Yep. It's a mall.
Fancy Pants, Making Memories and Prima Pasties. Yeah, "pasties". What a horrible name for these.
My stamping is a bit crooked. It will drive me nuts for the rest of my life. I should probably just redo it and move on...
Daisy D's and Technique Tuesday. I wanted to document Katrina's wish list this year. I just had her sign it. Trent told her, "That's a horrible 'a'". Poor thing.
You'll get to see his, ummmm, perfect handwriting next week. I did a LO for the LSS with a similar design but he wrote his own letter.
Oh, and this picture was taken at La Encantada, too.
Thanks for looking. :D

Woah! I need to update!
It's been awhile since I've added any layouts!
First, let me say how excited I am to be a part of the Daisy D's 2008 Design Team!! I've loved Daisy D's for YEARS!!

Layouts from Peek:
For Daily peek: BasicGrey Fruitcake line.
For Daily Peek: CI Christine Adolph
The above two were for Favorite Christmas lines. They're Daisy D's.
What else would I pick?
Scrapper's Choice is next upload. Want to take a guess what it's going to be? ;)
This one was just for me. Sassafrass Lass. It matches the Cub Scout Tiger uniform perfectly.
Here's a fast and simple one I did for the LSS:

Mud
It was discovered today that Katrina really likes mud. *sigh* I was in my scraproom making cards when I kept hearing squeals of laughter and thumps against the window in the kitchen. When I walked out, I saw mud all over one of my kitchen windows and then I saw Katrina nearly ankle deep in mud. She turned the hose on and let one section of our dirt backyard fill up. I usually hear the water running but I didn't this time.

The new look
This is the look I get when I ask if I can take her picture. Every Thursday morning, Katrina and I volunteer in Trent's classroom. We brought cupcakes in to celebrate her birthday that is coming up on Sunday. Trent's teacher is so nice and includes her in lots of activities in the class. She made her a birthday crown. I wanted to take her picture and this is what I get.
Also, note the HSM shirt. The only time she takes it off is when I wash it and then she puts it back on as it comes out of the dryer.

An update
My husband (of all people) informed me today that I had not updated my blog in awhile.
Ok, so it's been nearly a month. I have no idea how that happened!!
Here are some new layouts:
Autumn Observations. It's Daisy D's. What else would it be? ;)
I just love the new Sassafrass Lass line. It mixes so well with Daisy D's, too. ;) This was an assignment at Peek to use paint, ink & stamps.
Here's a couple I made for the new LSS I'm going to be working and teaching at. I can't believe I'm going to be teaching!! I'm so EXCITED!!
I am so thrilled and excited to have this fantastic store right down the street from me. If you're in Tucson (or anywhere in Arizona) and reading this, PLEASE let me know!! The trip to Pages In Progress will be so worth it. I promise!! It's going to be a fantastic store and I'm so lucky to be a part of it! They are carrying EVERYTHING and then some. I can't even tell you in words how big this store is. I'll try to get some pictures and post them...

Halloween Layouts plus more
At Peek, the theme was Halloween. I had Daisy D's, one of my favorites.
Katrina from last year. What a color combo, huh? Orange, pink, blue...
Some of you may know that Trent refused to wear his skeleton costume last year. Instead, he wore the alien costume he wore the year before. *sigh*
BTW, there's a layout about Trent's Skeleton costume in the October Creating Keepsakes. My first time published there. woohoo! Pssst...page 24.
Trent's costume for this year is ultra spooky. We bought it off the internet and weeks later, he still likes it. Thank goodness. I don't want to do 3 years of spooky alien layouts.
See those screw eyelet things? I've been hording those for years. I love them. Making Memories made them and when eyelets starting going out of style, I bought several packages of them.
Things are changing around at Peek. We're not going to be doing just bi-monthly uploads. We're going to be doing them daily. I've had 2 so far this month. Here they are:
Trent playing kickball in his Tiger uniform. Awwww.....
I like that picture. I felt pretty darn lucky to get it. After he kicked that ball, he ran to first base, on to second base passing one of his friends standing on base, then on past third base where his sister was standing and then he ran onto fourth making a home run.
More Daisy D's. Have I mentioned lately how much I adore Daisy D's? My current HOT list consists of Sweetwater, Technique Tuesday and Daisy D's.
Anyway, I LOVE this silver paper they came out with to go with the Salt Water Taffy line. It has a cool little sheen to it.
This is Katrina's costume. She wants to be an angel. Funny, huh? oh, and I know that the title is "Princess" and not "Angel". There was no "Angel" sticker and I felt "Princess" worked pretty darn well anyway.
The frame is accented with a ton of gems and pearls, etc and is much more gaudy when the light is shining on it at the perfect angle.
Thanks for looking and reading and all that stuff.

Cheesecake
It's our 7th wedding anniversary tomorrow. We're celebrating today as we have plans already tomorrow. We decided to stay home this year and have steak and cheesecake.
I made the cheesecake yesterday and Katrina helped me.
As we were eating it tonight, the kids kept going on and on about how good it was.
I looked at Katrina and said, "Katrina, the cheesecake is extra good because you helped me."
She agreed.
I didn't realize that Trent was even paying much attention until he looked up at Katrina. He looked her square in the eyes and with his mouth full of cheesecake said,
"Katrina, I LOOOOOOOVE your baking."
Then he went back to eating.

9/15 upload and a HUGE sale
The theme for 9/15 at Peek was "Quotes". Pat is having a HUGE sale on a TON of merchandise. Go over there and buy, buy, buy!
I had to photograph this one. Because of the clips, it refused to scan. This is part of a song my father used to sing to me when I was little.
Pat never said they had to be quotes from famous people. ;)

90
Erik's grandmother had her 90th birthday party this weekend. All of his family flew in from all parts of the country to celebrate. It was so nice!
As soon as Grandma arrived, I grabbed her and took a few pictures. I know, it was very selfish of me. ;)
Katrina and her Great Grandma.
The photographer lined all the great grandkids up and took their pictures. I like this one of her looking at Katrina. Note how Katrina has "Lil' Puppy" with her. Lil' Puppy has a rubberband around her neck. For whatever reason, the kids think rubberbands are the coolest things ever. I guess we need to get out more. She's also wearing her High School Musical shirt. She rarely takes that thing off. I have to sneak it out of her bedroom to wash it and then she runs around asking, "Where's my High School Moosical shirt?!?"
Trent and his cousin. Isn't she cute? They are the same age, just a few months apart.
