It's the 31st, so that means more uploads at Peek. It was Scrapper's Choice this time around. My favorite theme.
If you don't know already, I have this "thing" for monkeys. ;) I loved playing with Reminisce's Monkey Business Collection. Here I mixed it with Paper Salon and Basic Grey.
More monkey stuff, this time I mixed it with Scenic Route.
Laura (lioness) was my Secret Santa this year. She made me those beautiful flowers. I knew I had to use them right away. The tag is recycled from a Bongo skirt Katrina received for Christmas. I like the colors and the theme, so I kept it and used it.

Bowling
It's Trent's birthday today. My Little Dude is 6! He has always wanted to go bowling, so as a surprise we took him! We pre-paid for 3 games. Having never bowled with small children before, we had no clue how LONG it would take. Around the 4th or 5th turn, everyone was getting a little bored, I guess. It was sooooooo hot in there, too. Erik went back up to the counter to get our money back for the 2 games we weren't going to play and they wouldn't refund us. They don't do refunds. I'm not one for taking "no" quite so easily, so this time I went back up to the counter. I didn't see a sign that said "NO REFUNDS". I thought it was just stupid that they wouldn't give our money back. I had no idea that there were 10 turns (or whatever it's called) per person per game. I asked for the manager and aplogized for my ignorance and explained the situation. The best they could do was give us passes for future use. I guess that's fine. The kid's had a great time so I'm sure we'll be returning. I just wasn't going to throw away $32.00.
This was Katrina's way of bowling. She discovered this all on her own. However, she kept scooting up too far and setting off the little alarm.
Yeah, we're still waiting for Katrina's ball to make it down to the end of the lane.
Trent added a super cool dance move to his throw. Throw the ball, well, actually drop it, then spin around on one foot.
Cheer for yourself with a big "YEAH" when you know you're beating Mommy.

More Cosmo Cricket
lA couple more layouts with Cosmo Cricket from 3SB's December kit:
Trent said he wanted a Spiderman Action "Finger", but I'm pretty sure he meant "Figure". Also, that gun that shoots jelly is from Rudolph (I think??).
I painted and crackled the chipboard snowflake.
Our Christmas card for this year.

Photo Shoot Mini Album & Trent's card
I just finished this mini album for 3SB. It's made made the Cosmo Cricket Wonderland Journaling Cards. I wanted to document some of the pictures I took from our annual Christmas photo shoot. I don't make mini albums very often but I sure had fun with this one.
Trent made a Christmas card for his teacher tonight.
"Help me with the words, Mommy."
That means he wants me to write out what he wants to say so he can copy it.
"What do you want to say?"
"Thank You. You are a beautiful girl."
I tried not to giggle as I wrote it out. He wrote it out in black ink and did it in his "best quality work". I did have to remind him to sign his name on it.

As good as it gets...
My scraproom as clean and organized as it's going to be for awhile. You can still see boxes and even my sewing machine on the floor. I just don't have enough furniture right now to store this stuff away.
This is the view standing right at the entrance way. Like my Madonna poster? heehee The TV is on a cart, LOL! You can see the kid's craft table surrounded by more crap.
This is my work table and the view looking back into the rest of the house. There's the cat sitting on the kids' table. She's probably looking for something to vomit on. ;)

31st Upload
I have started grouting my scraproom. What a mess! It's especially difficult with a 25 pound girl that wants to ride on my back as I sponge the grout away.
The 31st upload at Peek was Creative Journaling:
This layout would just not work for me. I ripped it apart so many times. I just can't figure out what is missing.

Tiled!
Finally, the tile is in! We still need to grout and add the trim.
This is my new scrap/art room. When we moved in, the area with the door was part of the garage and the rest of the room was the old storeroom the previous owners had turned into an office. I had to step out of the laundry room into the garage, walk across 6 feet, step up, open the door into my scraproom. I hated it and wanted it all one continuous room.
I supposed I should have picked up some of the stuff on the floor before I took the picture, but my thighs hurt too much. :P The tiles are soooo heavy. They're 20" porcelain tiles and besides being so heavy both my hands and Erik's are just raw from handling them. Oh, and guess who did all those teeny tiny cuts for the step??? ME!
Last week I finished the painting. I chose the same color my friend, Hilary, used in her scraproom. She was nice enough to share the color with me. Thanks!

More and more and more uploads
I'm so sad to say that DML is going out of business. :( This will be my last upload for her.
The hat is from the birthday party at Disneyland.
I love the ledger paper from Mustard Moon.
The theme this month was "Scrap your space".
Trent's reject Halloween costume.
At Peek, we did scraplifts:
This is one of Sherry's.
