Finally, the tile is in! We still need to grout and add the trim.
This is my new scrap/art room. When we moved in, the area with the door was part of the garage and the rest of the room was the old storeroom the previous owners had turned into an office. I had to step out of the laundry room into the garage, walk across 6 feet, step up, open the door into my scraproom. I hated it and wanted it all one continuous room.
I supposed I should have picked up some of the stuff on the floor before I took the picture, but my thighs hurt too much. :P The tiles are soooo heavy. They're 20" porcelain tiles and besides being so heavy both my hands and Erik's are just raw from handling them. Oh, and guess who did all those teeny tiny cuts for the step??? ME!
Last week I finished the painting. I chose the same color my friend, Hilary, used in her scraproom. She was nice enough to share the color with me. Thanks!

That looks beautiful Heather!
Beautiful Heather. :)
Looks so pretty! gorgeous. I have tiled before. Ugh! I got tired of the cumbersome sponge when smoothing in the grout and decided to use my fingers. Never do that. :P
Holy Cow! I can't wait to see it done! Gee....that paint color looks familiar! ;)
