At Bitten By the Bug 2, Donna asked us to use the bee from Sentimentals. This is my FIRST welded card. I used the Gypsy to weld 2 bees together. I love shaped cards! Watch out world, I have a feeling I'm going to be welding everything. ;)
Stamps are from Technique Tuesday.
It was Katrina's idea to add the flowers around the neck. Katrina is always at my craft table, hovering around and putting flowers, ribbons or bling on my projects. Remember the Tweet card? She had to add the flower button and even hand cut the stem. Sometmes I find it rather annoying because I'm always looking over her, but I realize this phase isn't going to last very long and soon she won't want to "hang with mom" at all. So, I let her help whenever she wants. She also loves my Gypsy and I've taught her how to use it.
Do your kids/grandkids play with your Cricut? Have you taught them how?

sorry this picture is a bit out of focus. It just goes to show that one can have a really expensive camera and still mess up the focus. ;)

what a great job. I love the card. it looks soo cute. I love the bee and the hello tag on his neck.
Cute, cute card! That's a great bee. My 6 yr-old dd LOVES my Gypsy...she uses it more than her Nintendo DS...and she's pretty good with it! TFS
Awww, what a cute bee. I do flee from a bee because I am allergic, but I love me some paper bees.
Hugs.

This is such a cute card. I love that you let your DD help. My DD loves to come and craft with me. I got her a case to put her own stuff in and she will pull it out when I craft and sit beside me. She is learning the Cricut right now. Not letting her touch the Gypsy yet.
LOVE that bee! Super cute! My 3 1/2 year old loves to craft with mommy. She has sticker books and I let her have all of my leftover stickers. She loves it!
I don't have a Gypsy or Cricut, so I just rely on embellishments that are pre-made. :)
Great job on the card! I like the sentiment!
wow Heather, that photo is so stunning that I almost can not believe it! what a gorgeous little girl!
makes me happy that I have my only little girl that is growing up to love to craft (she's only 4!)
I adored this challenge and your awesome welded card...your right, after you start to weld, you can't stop!!! LOL!!!!

I think she did a great job choosing the flowers :)
My daughter is only 6 months old but I plan on teaching her how to use the Cricut when she's old enough.
I love the baby stage but I'm excited for her to be a bit older as well...I'm hoping she inherits my love of papercrafts :)
Super cute card!!
love your card-welding is the BEST. i don't have kids, but i've shown some of my students (i teach middle school) my sypsy and they think it is so cool!
What a cute little bee! I love the idea of using the bee cut for the cards..very nice job!

I'm so glad you showed us your welding of the card. It came out so cute and I LOVE the flowers around the neck. What a gorgeous daughter and how much fun to do it together. Ironically I want to do this stuff with my mom and she's the one that doesn't have any patience for it! She's too busy of a bee! :) Anyway, thanks for the ideas and a chance to win some fantastic things!
Tell Katrina I love her additions. Such an adorable card! How fun to have mommy, daughter craft days! Think I could teach Jezzie DS? xxD
Great job on your first welded card. I love it. Thanks for sharing.

WOW!!!!! You did a fantastic job with your first weld!! I have tried it in DS, not so good..LOL! Your DD is precious! My DD is 18 and has recently gotten into 3d projects as well as cards. The other night she actually made her first cut on the cricut, I showed her how, and she did a great job..my only complaint, is she is a messier crafter than I am!!
I imagine she would do awesome with a gypsy due to the fact that she has all that tech stuff (phone, Nintendo, Wii). She would probably have to teach me how to use the gypsy!!!! LOL
Thanks so much for sharing your awesome project!!! Very adorable!
Crafty Hugs,
Lisa Sturgill
she is so cute!
and that card is awesome...wow..that gypsy keeps on amaZing me! love it
i let my son pick out images to use when we are doing stuff together but he he still a bit young to do it himself
Great card - I love the die-cut ones. I have to try welding like that!
I love shaped cards. Yours is terrific. Nice that your daughter is helping with designs. She's learning from a pro.
This makes me want to get this cart... what a very cute card.
Cute bee card. TFS
What a cute card!! Love her additions!
I just recently bought myself a used cricut. I was talking about "my" cricut machine to my sisters when my ten year old granddaughter piped up - "you mean "OUR" machine! She was serious too! She loves creating with me.

Oh I love it. your daughter has a good eye! Very cute.
oh so cute. I know what you mean about letting the little ones help. I let my son help me with my Cricut things and he's asked for me to make decorations for his room and him embellish them. He's just 5 and loves the Cricut.
Sweet Card!!!! AMAZING WORK
Love this card. Good Job.
