Tags & Stickers

that was the theme for assignments on the 30th at Peek.

All BasicGrey tags and lots-o-7gypsies stickers.

I got the good ol' Making Memories tag maker out for this one. I had to dust it off first. ;)

Some Sweet Bella and some really old Rebeccas Sower stickers. Remember those? More 7g's, too.

And of course, Foofala tags. How could I not do a tag assignment without a little Foof? Love Foofala!
Thanks for looking. :D

Bam Pop is coming and uploads from the 15th

I think this is the first time in history that I have remembered to note on my blog of a celebrity speaker at Peek.

Here's the link. Don't ask me to convert time for you. I can't do it. I'm clueless. Sorry. It's tomorrow, Friday! Don't miss it!!!!

The theme for Peek's assignments were Re-do's.

Yes, this is on a real record. It's an old Shaun Cassidy record. I had this same one when I was about 9. I had the BIGGEST crush on him. My father teased me about wanting the record. It disappeared one day.

I figured if I was going to redo a layout, I might as well try something experimental. I had fun with it and I'm pretty sure I scared Pat even though she won't admit it.

Oh, and I want to add this one, too. I did it just for fun. No assignment or anything. I wanted to use some vintage items I found at an antique show. No, they're not acid free. I sometimes like to live on the edge. I also used some of my favorite Technique Tuesday fonts.
Oh, who am I kidding? Those fonts are all my favorites.

Cake and apples

We went out to dinner tonight.

The four of us.

As we sat down, Katrina noticed the teenage girls behind us. They were already finished with their dinner and were eating their dessert. Chocolate cake and ice cream.

Katrina couldn't take her eyes off of them. I tried to correct her, but it was of no use. She was obsessed with the cake and ice cream. Even the teenage girls were giggling over her obsession.

Eventually, they left and we were served our dinner.

The kid's meal came with dessert: a scoop of ice cream with your choice of either chocolate, strawberry or caramel topping.

When the waitress asked Trent what topping he wanted, he said without hesitation, "Strawberry!"

She asked Katrina what topping she wanted, chocolate, strawberry or caramel, she hesitated. After a second or two, Katrina looked at the waitress straight in the eye and said quite clearly, "Cake!"

I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Oh, and the lizards/alligators in the backyard were about 6-8 inches long and probably about 3 inches around.

Alligators

Both kids screamed, "MOM, THERE'S A DEAD ALLIGATOR IN THE BACKYARD!"

So, I guess the dogs were busy gathering lizards while we were out running errands today. There were two dead lizards in the backyard, obviously caught by the dogs, that were SO BIG they weren't lizards, they were alligators.

I tried to correct them and tell them they were really lizards, but neither one of them wanted anything to do with my observation.

They were alligators.

Plain and simple.

Not lizards.

I didn't take pictures.

I just scooped them up with the dog poop scooper, threw them over the fence, said a little prayer and that was it.

3 Scrappy Boys upload

I'm late on this. These are for March's kit at 3 Scrappy Boys.

I had been waiting for the perfect paper for this picture. ;)

I left the buttons on the card. I think I like the look of it...or am I just lazy?
Thanks for looking. :D I forgot to upload Peek's layouts from the 15th. I'll do that tomorrow when I upload for the 31st. I think I forgot Sweetwater, too. Geez. What's wrong with me?

A month's worth of AL Challenges

I hosted the AL challenges at Peek for the month of March. We did one challenge per week.

Week 1, use real flower seeds for the center of your flowers.
Week 2, whimsical stitching.
Week 3, cut a picture in half to make 2.

Week 4, stamp a border around your picture.
Thanks for looking! :D

I was wrong...

She does need me. She needs me to watch her ("Mommy, wanna watch me pump on the swing...") and take pictures ("...and take pictures?"). Trent needs me to do the same. One door closes, another one opens.

This boy needs a tan! I think I'll cut down on the sunscreen. ;)

Today is the day

that Katrina finally learned how to pump on the swing. Months and months of trying to show her how to do it. It's kind of hard to teach someone how to swing. I looked out the kitchen window and I saw little feet in the air. I didn't yell at her for not having her shoes on, I just decided to take her picture instead. It's kind of bittersweet. I'm happy to see her learn how to do this, but I probably won't hear, "Mommy! Will you push me?"

Much about nothing

I had to get some purple and red Stickles today for a project I was working on. I went to the local stamp store and look what they were selling (besides Stickles):

It really is best to store these upside down so they don't clog the stem. I think she said her father made these. I took the last one, but I asked her if more were being made as I know all of you reading this will want one. They're only $6.50. She stated that her father is making lots more!

So, when did Fat Boy Slim come out with a Greatest Hits cd? Hmmm..well, I guess it was last June. Where was I? Do you ever get a cd and as each song comes on you say, "oh, this is my favorite song"? That's what I do with this cd. Here's one of my favorite songs ;):

Close up with a wide angle lens

The kids thought this was fun. Well, Katrina did anyway. Trent didn't really want to participate.  Posted by Picasa

Bangs

I had to cut Katrina's bangs. They were in her eyes. I think I did pretty good considering I kept having my hand that held the scissors swiped away. She does not like to sit still.  Posted by Picasa
