Witch Hat shaped card

I knew when I saw this cut at The Cutting Cafe I had to give it a try. I've never made a shaped card like this before. It was so easy and it only took a few minutes.

This is the Witch Hat Shaped Card 2 Template. The "Happy Halloween" is Happy Halloween Background Printable Stamp.

ETA: I'll be giving this set away next week. Leave me a comment for your chance to win. :D

Thanks for looking! :D

P.S. If you're looking for the blog hop, it's the post below.

Priceless

It's that time again! Another Bitten By the Bug blog hop with candy. Regina asked us to use the Priceless cut from Graphically Speaking. I think that cart is my all time favorite. I LOVE it! Anyway, this is what I came up with. The picture isn't the best, but not all of them can be perfect, right?

Anyone recognize that paper? It's Autumn Leaves Mod line from several years ago. This is why I never throw anything away and why I have to have entire room to hold paper. You just never know when you're going to need something.

So, leave me a comment for a chance to win more Technique Tuesday stamps. I seem to have a lot of these, huh? ;) By Friday, I'll use Random.org to choose a winner.

After you leave me a comment, be sure to visit Carla's blog for another chance to win!

Thanks for your comments and thank you Regina for these awesome challenges. :D

Flying Ants

We know when the end of summer/monsoon season is near when the flying ants come out of hiding. I don't know what their exact name is, but we just call them "flying ants". The only live for a day and their only purpose seems to be reproduction. In the morning, they swirl around in a GIANT swarm and then drop to the ground to die. I don't know if they mate in the air or on the ground. They must put off some sort of scent or something that keeps the birds away while they do this. By the end of the afternoon, they're all on the ground starting to die. It's not until the next morning that the birds come to eat them.

This picture is a couple weeks old. I know, it's not scrapbook related or anything. I just think it's interesting.

6 (Happy Birthday)

For Bitten by the Bug this week, Regina asked us to use the present cut from Pooh and Friends. I also used this great Happy Birthday background stamp from The Cutting Cafe.

The "6" is from Alphalicious.

All cardstock is Prism. By the way, I was asked to be Guest Designer in October for Prism Cardstock. I LOVE their cardstock. If you have never tried it, you must. Besides all the beautiful colors, it also has a subtle texture that you can still stamp perfectly on it.

I know something & blog candy winner

Thanks everyone for all your wonderful comments. Robin was chosen at random for the Technique Tuesday stamps. Yay, Robin!

Now, to answer a few questions about the Graduate layout:

Yes, Liberty went to Petsmart for obedience training. I would have to say she barely passed. ;)
She didn't get to keep the cap, it was just for the picture.
The paper I used was BasicGrey June Bug.

and now here's a layout. I always like to have a picture for my blog posts....

Scenic Route, October Afternoon, Making Memories and I love those chipboard gears from Magistical Memories.

Thanks for visiting!
